A diamond-shaped padel racket designed for finishers

The Metalbone HRD+ 3.5 2026 features Adidas's signature diamond shape with a sweet spot positioned high on the face. Result: raw power from the moment of impact and smashes that fly out fast, ideal for finishing at the net or stringing together vibora shots.

The octagonal frame reinforces structural rigidity and limits twisting on impact, even on aggressive off-centre shots.

16K Carbon and EVA HD core for surgical rigidity

The Carbon Aluminized 16K striking surfaces deliver a firm feel and immediate response. Combined with the EVA High Density core, they provide quick ball exit and maximum energy return on every powerful shot.

Low Poly technology increases overall rigidity for precise control on attacking shots from the baseline.

Spin Blade and Weight & Balance System to personalise your game

The textured Spin Blade enhances spin: you can easily vary between kick, lift and sliced shots to destabilise your opponent. The lifted bandeja delivery gains extra bite.

The Weight & Balance System lets you add lead weights to strategic positions to adjust balance to suit your style.

Our tips to get started

A few good practices to make the most of your purchase from day one and keep it in perfect condition for years to come.

Warm up before you start

High stiffness requires a warm wrist and elbow to avoid unwanted vibrations.

Add an absorbent overgrip

To dampen vibrations from such a firm padel racket, a foam overgrip improves comfort over time.

Protect the frame from day one

Apply an adhesive frame protector to the head to preserve the 16K carbon fibre from glass/ground friction.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, our answers

What level is the Metalbone HRD+ 3.5 for?

It's designed for advanced and expert players (P500 and above) who are used to stiff and heavy padel rackets. Its diamond shape and head-heavy balance require good striking technique and arm strength ready to handle the rigidity.

What's the difference with the standard Metalbone 3.5?

The HRD+ version pushes rigidity even further thanks to aluminised 16K carbon fibre and reinforced octagonal structure. Ball exit is crisper and maximum power is higher, at the cost of less tolerance on off-centre strikes.

Is it suitable for defensive play or bandeja shots?

That's not its primary purpose. The diamond shape concentrates the sweet spot at the top of the face, favouring smashes and viboras. On bandeja shots it remains effective but demands precise ball placement.

How do you maintain the Spin Blade strike face?

Clean the textured surface with a damp cloth after each session to remove grass dust. Avoid solvents. Store the padel racket in a thermal cover to protect the EVA foam core from temperature shocks.

Do you need to add weights with the Weight & Balance System?

Not mandatory. The system lets you adjust balance if you want to boost power further (weights at the top) or gain manoeuvrability (weights at the bottom, near the handle). Start without, then test based on your feel.

Which grip would you recommend with this padel racket?

Given the high rigidity, go for an absorbent foam overgrip to limit vibrations transmitted to your elbow. Too thin an overgrip would amplify the crisp sensations on powerful impacts.
